David Hobbs, Chief Executive

David joined Cofunds in early 2013 and was quickly promoted to Chief Executive, following three years as Chief Executive at Suffolk Life, the specialist SIPP provider, where he led the successful expansion of the business. Prior to this time, he worked for Legal & General Group, where he held various roles including being responsible for Legal & General’s Investor Portfolio Platform Service for the bank and building society market and leading the award-winning service operation within its workplace division. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and a member of the UK Platform Group.

Andy Coleman, Managing Director, Retail

Andy has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained during 30 years in the industry. He became Managing Director of Retail in January 2017, responsible for leading the distribution functions for both Cofunds & IPS and Aegon UK. Andy took on this role after five years at Cofunds where he joined as Head of Sales in 2012. He was promoted to Director of Distribution (including institutional services) in May 2013, and was responsible for driving the rollout of Cofunds’ new products and services, including the implementation of the explicit pricing model. In 2016 he was appointed Interim Commercial Director taking responsibility for sales and relationship management across both the retail and institutional areas as well as heading up proposition and marketing.

Before joining Cofunds, Andy was Head of Distribution at AXA and was instrumental in creating and delivering the Elevate proposition.

Marc Bulstrode, Operations Director

Marc joined Cofunds in November 2015 and is an experienced leader with an outstanding background of success throughout 15 years in senior management. Some of his key areas of expertise include business transformation, strategy development, and implementation of large-scale and complex change programmes.

Most recently he was Head of Change and Business Management at Fidelity, and before then he held senior positions at Barclays Wealth and Skandia/Old Mutual.

Louise Baker, Head of HR

Louise joined Cofunds in June 2014 on an interim basis to support the HR function and moved into a permanent role heading up HR for Cofunds in January 2015. Louise brings with her 25 years of HR experience primarily within the financial services sector as well as higher education, telecoms and professional services. Prior to joining Cofunds she was European Head of HR for 118118 and has held a number of senior HR positions within Fitch Ratings, CSFB, Goldman Sachs and AMS.

Richard Donegan, CASS Oversight Officer

Richard joined Cofunds in November 2016 bringing 25 years’ experience of leading Operations, Operational Change and Operational Compliance in retail and institutional financial services. Most recently Richard was at Equiniti Group, where he was Chief Operating Officer for Equiniti Financial Services Limited.

Pete Sutton, Chief Information Officer

Pete has been CIO since January 2016 and is responsible for IT Operations, Security and the IT Delivery Change capability for the Cofunds Platform. Pete joined Cofunds as a technical specialist in late 2001, supporting some of the early functional enhancements on what was then the Cofunds fund supermarket. These included electronic dealing and debit card processing. He held a variety of roles within IT before progressing to Head of IT Operations in 2007.

Karen Cockburn, Chief Financial Officer

Karen is Finance Director for Aegon UK Digital Solutions, and CFO for Cofunds.

Karen is responsible for profitability, cost, liquidity and capital management and pricing strategy. Prior to this, Karen held several roles within Aegon, including Head of Reporting and Head of Financial Planning – leading the Finance Transformation Programme in the lead up to Solvency II. Karen spent her early career with GE Capital and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Belfast.

Ian Herridge, Chief Risk Officer

Ian is a long standing employee of Cofunds since 2002. His career has predominately been within the Risk Functions specialising in the regulatory and financial crime area. Prior to his time with Cofunds Ian worked for both Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group, and completed a short secondment with the FCA.

He is a member of the UK Platform Group and the Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers.
